I think it’s done. Project fatigue has set in and I’m pretty happy with it overall. It’s a heckuva lot better than my last cityscape, that’s for sure. 🙂
I really like how it’s coming along. I’ve been spending the bulk of my evenings lately on Sims 3, which I need to stop playing so much before I get completely out of the great painting momentum I’ve had for several weeks now! 😀
Spent about 45 more minutes on it tonight.
Getting back into painting after a weekend of games! I like where the lower right corner’s heading.
It’s done! Here is my Grip Kart character, all in pink and all ready to beat everyone else to the finish line. 🙂
Spent another 1.5 hours on it tonight. Whee!
I worked another 1.5 hours on my Grip Kart character! I hope this catches on around the office – it’s a lot of fun! I’m still thinking of what her weapon will be… hmmm…
One last update before I go spend some quality time with Jim! I’m really enjoying this one so far – does that make me vain? 😀
A friend at work drew himself as a kart racer character and encouraged me to do the same! Here’s my sketch about an hour and a half in. I’ve made the BG yellow-reddish to match the final background art, which will be the same across all kart racer chars. The real trick now will be getting the coloring on the character to fit the background.
Another hour or so’s worth of work on it. I spent some of that goofing off on the web, though, so it may be closer to 45 minutes. 😀
